Job Description Job Description Journeyman Electrician Quality "Plus" Services (QPS) Petersburg, VA & Regional Projects Position Summary Quality "Plus" Services (QPS) is seeking experienced Journeyman Electricians to support industrial, commercial, and infrastructure projects throughout Petersburg, VA and the surrounding region. This role requires a strong working knowledge of electrical systems, a commitment to safety, and the ability to work independently while supporting project schedules and quality standards. Key Responsibilities Install, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair electrical systems in industrial and commercial environments Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and electrical drawings Run, bend, and install conduit (EMT, rigid, PVC) Pull, terminate, and test electrical wiring and components Install panels, breakers, transformers, motor controls, and lighting systems Perform electrical testing using meters and diagnostic equipment Ensure all work complies with NEC, OSHA, and site-specific safety requirements Coordinate with foremen, supervisors, and other trades on site Maintain clean and safe work areas Assist apprentices and less experienced electricians as needed Qualifications Journeyman Electrician license or equivalent documented experience Completion of an accredited apprenticeship program preferred 4+ years of hands-on electrical experience in industrial or commercial settings Strong knowledge of NEC and electrical safety standards Ability to work independently with minimal supervision Reliable attendance and strong work ethic Ability to pass pre-employment screening, including drug testing Physical Requirements Ability to lift up to 50 lbs Ability to climb ladders, work at heights, and in confined spaces Ability to work indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions Work Environment & Schedule Industrial plants, commercial facilities, and construction job sites Regional travel may be required depending on project needs Overtime, nights, and weekends may be required Why Work for QPS Steady work on large-scale industrial and commercial projects Competitive pay based on experience Strong safety culture and professional field leadership Opportunities for long-term placement and advancement Quality "Plus" Services is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
