OverviewBusiness Title: Specimen Management Lead IPosition Title: Lead IDivision: Consumer Products ServicesEntity: ATLLocation: Indianapolis, INReports to: ManagerFLSA: Non-exemptHours Worked: Typically, Monday through Friday, forty-hours per week.However, must be flexible to meet the needs of the department and complete other projects as assigned.Position SummaryThe Specimen Management Lead I is responsible for ensuring efficient day-to-day operations including work assignment, workflow, quality, and compliance. Perform bench work and provide technical guidance to staff dedicated to meeting client needs in a timely and accurate manner and providing proactive assistance by identifying and resolving issues. Additionally, the Lead will conduct regular meetings with the associates in the Specimen Management group, working with the Manager to address associate concerns and provide feedback.Duties And ResponsibilitiesIt is everyone’s responsibility to live out our Values and Absolutes by Shaping a World of Trust while ensuring responsible progress.Serve as a leader of the Specimen Management group, providing direction and training on SOPs and techniques used in the operationsOnboarding new associatesLab specific safety trainingBe the liaison between the client and the company to receive information regarding changes in processes, workflow, safety requirements or other information that flows through to the team – this includes providing status updates to the clientEnsure accurate and prompt client service, including but not limited to technical inquiries, program requirements and reporting, and adjusting workflows to meet prioritiesCommunicate significant client issues to N+1 for resolution.Subject matter expert, and trainer on processes utilized by associates in the Specimen Management groupBe able to troubleshoot, offer guidance or support where needed in partnership with the ManagerInterpret, write and present technical protocols and reportsEnsure compliance to systems and applicable SOPs.Work with upper management and/or HR to resolve all associate issuesResponsible for, demonstrates, and holds team accountable for safe work environment.Complies with all safety and confidentiality policies and protocols. Reports on safety incidents or near misses in real time to the ManagerReport team feedback to the N+1 on a daily/weekly or monthly basis on milestones, goals, progress.
