The Inpatient Coder will be responsible for reviewing medical records and assigning accurate medical codes for services provided to inpatients. The role requires attention to detail, knowledge of coding guidelines and regulations, and the ability to ensure documentation supports the codes assigned. Qualifications Proficiency in ICD-10-CM and CPT coding systemsKnowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, and physiologyCertification as a Certified Coding Specialist (CCS) or Certified Professional Coder (CPC)Experience working in an inpatient coding role in a healthcare settingStrong analytical and critical thinking skillsAttention to detail and accuracy in coding practicesAbility to work independently and meet deadlinesExcellent communication and interpersonal skills
