A minimum of 2 years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity: Registered Nurse - CVOR Job Details: • Circulating position in cardiovascular operating room (scrubbing NOT required) • 8-hour and 10-hour shifts with 40 guaranteed hours per workweek, or 3 12-hour shifts with 36 guaranteed hours per workweek, or 4 12-hour shifts with 48 guaranteed hours per workweek • Approximately 100 call hours per 6 weeks with 1 call weekend per 6 weeks (Friday evening to Monday morning) • Float required to other OR specialties within the hospital or to affiliate hospitals nearby • Must work 2 out of 3 major holidays • Handle special procedures including heart and lung transplants, aortic dissections, and ECMO • Work with adult and geriatric patient populations • 2 years of experience required (first-timers accepted if they have Level I Trauma experience) • BLS certification required • Travel experience required • Cerner charting system experience preferred • Level I Trauma experience preferred • Must have Indiana license, compact license, or Indiana temporary license in hand prior to start • 40 hours of orientation provided • 2 supervisor references required • Patient ratio of 1:1 • Free parking available • Flu vaccination required (medical/religious exemptions only) Facility: This short-term acute care facility operates as a Level I Trauma center with multiple units housing 194-210 total staffed beds. The facility maintains an average daily census of 70-80 patients and features 24 operating rooms.
