SummaryAs a Physical Security Specialist performing the duties of the Center's Physical Security Program Manager, Facility Security Manager (FSM), Anti-Terrorism Officer (ATO), Critical Infrastructure Assurance Officer (CIAO), and assisting the Chief, Protective Services in the overall management and administration of the AFRC Protective Services Program, you will be responsible for establishing, revising, or reviewing policies, procedures, and meeting mission objectives.DutiesHelpServes as a security specialist performing the duties of the Center's Physical Security Program Manager, Facility Security Manager (FSM), Anti-Terrorism Officer (ATO), and Critical Infrastructure Assurance Officer (CIAO).Establishes, revises, coordinates, implements, and advises on security strategic program development, planning, and policies across the Center.As the Center's Anti-Terrorism Officer, closely coordinates the planning and deployment of appropriate defensive security measures with the Agency and local, federal, state, installation, and municipal anti-terrorism organizations and activities.Advises and provides counsel to Armstrong Flight Research Center (AFRC) employees regarding policies, procedures, and directives of the agency.Establishes, revises, or reviews policies, procedures, mission objectives, and organization design for the staff as necessary to eliminate problems or barriers to mission accomplishment.Serves as Task Monitor for multiple contracts and establishes, develops, and maintains effective working relationships with contract support staff.Responsible for the Center physical security policy development and maintenance; physical protection of facilities, personnel, classified information and/or other sensitive materials/resources or processes.Serves as an armed NASA Special Agent with Federal Arrest Authority.RequirementsHelpConditions of employmentThis position is open to U.S. citizens, nationals or those who owe allegiance to the U.S.This position may require a one-year probationary period.
