Working in a team based environment, our mission is to help patients optimize their urological health.Job OverviewAs a Surgical Technologist, you will be responsible for providing support to ensure efficient operation of our outpatient center. You will support doctors and patients through a variety of tasks related to patient care management, organization, and communication. The target is to complete all activities accurately, with high quality, and in a timely manner.Duties And ResponsibilitiesPrepares patients and procedure rooms for radiology proceduresReviews patient orders to determine necessary materials and sets up/cleans procedure roomsAssists with patient prep, transfers, and positioningInputs patient data into the C-Arm and assists physicians during interventional procedures, maintaining sterile techniqueComplies with HIPAA, draws up and labels IV medications, and processes/archives x-ray imagesManages equipment maintenance, supply inventory, and hazardous waste disposalMay serve as Radiation Safety Officer and assist with accreditation surveysEnsures effective communication with physiciansAssists with patient billing, verifying procedure charges, CPT, and ICD9 codesRequirementsRequired License/Experience/SkillsProven working experience as a surgical technologistProficient in maintaining a sterile fieldExperienced in scrubbing in for surgical proceduresKnowledge of HIPAA and other healthcare regulationsWorking knowledge of interventional equipmentHigh school diploma Valid BLS Certification Surgical technologist experience: 1 year Preferred License/Experience/SkillsARRT / CST Certification
