This role is responsible for identifying, producing, and overseeing in-depth storytelling that advances the station's commitment to investigative journalism, community impact, and audience growth.The Executive Producer will collaborate across departments to ensure alignment with organizational priorities while maintaining the highest standards of journalistic integrity, accuracy, and storytelling excellence.What We OfferCompetitive compensation and comprehensive benefits packageOpportunities for professional growth and leadership developmentCollaborative and inclusive workplace cultureAccess to industry-leading tools, technology, and resourcesEssential Duties and ResponsibilitiesLead the planning, development, and execution of special projects, including investigative reports, franchise segments, and long-form storytelling initiativesIdentify and prioritize enterprise story opportunities that align with newsroom goals and audience interestsSupervise and mentor reporters, producers, photographers, and multi-platform journalists assigned to special projectsEstablish clear editorial direction, timelines, and deliverables to ensure projects are completed on schedule and at a high level of qualityCollaborate with newsroom leadership, legal, and standards teams to ensure compliance with journalistic and company policiesOversee the integration of special projects across broadcast, digital, and streaming platforms to maximize reach and engagementPartner with digital and social teams to develop strategies that extend the lifecycle and impact of special contentTrack performance metrics and audience engagement to inform future content decisionsMinimum QualificationsNewsroom experience, including leadership roles in producing or managing enterprise and investigative contentDemonstrated ability to lead complex editorial projects from concept through executionStrong editorial judgment and commitment to ethical journalism standardsProven leadership, coaching, and team development skillsExcellent communication, organizational, and project management abilitiesFamiliarity with legal considerations related to investigative and enterprise reportingPreferred QualificationsExperience in investigative journalism or long-form storytellingStrong understanding of digital analytics and audience engagement strategiesAbility to manage cross-functional teams and multi-platform workflowsExperience with grant-funded or partnership-driven journalism initiativesBachelor's degree in Journalism, Communications, or related field preferredAbout Cox Media GroupCMG Media Corporation (d/b/a Cox Media Group) is an industry-leading media company with unparalleled brands, award-winning content, and exceptional team members.
