Registered Nurse, LTAC
**Job Overview**
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our team. As a Registered Nurse, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care in a dynamic and fast-paced environment. Our ideal candidate will possess a strong foundation in anatomy and a passion for delivering exceptional care to patients. The successful applicant will have the opportunity to work in a teaching hospital, ambulatory surgery center, or emergency room, and will be responsible for performing diagnostic evaluations and administering medications and treatments.
**Responsibilities**
- Provide direct patient care, including assessing patients, developing and implementing individualized treatment plans, and monitoring patients' progress.
- Conduct thorough diagnostic evaluations, including taking vital signs, performing physical exams, and interpreting test results.
- Administer medications, injections, and treatments, such as dermal fillers, as prescribed by physicians.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to develop and implement patient care plans that align with our facility's mission and values.
- Educate patients and their families about their medical conditions, treatments, and post-acute care instructions.
- Participate in health coaching and patient education initiatives to promote healthy behaviors and disease prevention.
- Utilize ICD-10 coding to accurately document patient diagnoses and treatment plans.
- Work effectively in urgent care settings, including emergency rooms and ambulatory surgery centers.
- Maintain a safe and organized environment, adhering to infection control and safety protocols.
**Qualifications**
- Current licensure as a Registered Nurse in the state of practice.
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing or related field.
- Current certification in Basic Life Support (BLS).
- Strong anatomy knowledge and understanding of medical procedures and treatments.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with patients, families, and healthcare professionals.
- Experience working in a teaching hospital, ambulatory surgery center, or emergency room is highly preferred.
- Familiarity with ventilator and tracheostomy care
