De'von Emages is committed to maintaining a welcoming and inclusive atmosphere for both clients and team members.Role Description This on-site Hairstylist role is based at the De'von Emages location in Novi, MI. The Hairstylist will consult with clients to understand their needs, recommend styles and treatments, and provide a range of hair services such as cutting, coloring, styling, and treatments. Day-to-day responsibilities include preparing workstations, maintaining cleanliness and sanitation standards, and ensuring all tools and equipment are properly cleaned and organized. The role also involves educating clients on hair care routines and products, scheduling and confirming appointments, and supporting an excellent in-salon experience from check-in to check-out. The Hairstylist will collaborate with team members to maintain a professional, friendly, and inclusive environment while contributing to salon goals and client retention.Qualifications Proficiency in Hair Styling and Hair Care, with the ability to perform cuts, color, treatments, and styling for various hair types.Foundational knowledge and training in Cosmetology, with a valid state cosmetology or hairstylist license (or eligibility to obtain one in Michigan).Strong Customer Service skills, including the ability to build rapport, listen to client preferences, and manage client expectations.Clear and professional Communication skills for client consultations, product recommendations, and teamwork.Ability to maintain high standards of cleanliness, sanitation, and organization in work areas and tools.Reliability and punctuality, with the ability to work a consistent full-time schedule, including evenings or weekends as needed.Interest in ongoing professional development, staying current with trends, techniques, and products in the hair and beauty industry.Prior experience in a salon environment is preferred but not required; a strong portfolio or examples of work are a plus.
