Tech - Sterile Processing Tech

Job Description Job Summary: Processes and sterilizes surgical and hospital instruments and equipment, ensuring their readiness for patient procedures. Assists with instrument assembly, disinfection, and maintenance to support clinical operations. Responsibilities: Decontaminates and processes surgical instruments, including assembling instrument sets and trays. Sterilizes instruments, trays, and basins using appropriate exposure and dry times. Prepares instruments for immediate use sterilization when necessary. Maintains cleanliness of the department environment by daily cleaning of surfaces and sterilizer equipment. Performs weekly cleaning of autoclave chambers and monitors sterilization cycle performance. Assists with supply and instrument preparation for upcoming procedures and case picks. Qualifications: High School Diploma or GED required. Certification as a Sterile Processing Technician required. Experience with sterilization equipment, biological testing, and instrument processing preferred. Strong attention to detail and ability to evaluate instrument safety and functionality.
