Assistant Coding & AI Instructor for Kids – Saturdays Code Space Lab is a future technology education program for children ages 7–14. We help students explore coding, artificial intelligence, game development, and digital creativity through engaging, hands-on projects. We are looking for a friendly, energetic, and reliable Assistant Instructor to support our Saturday classes in Boca Raton, Florida. This is a great part-time opportunity for college students, recent graduates, aspiring educators, or technology enthusiasts who enjoy working with children. Advanced programming experience is not required. Training, curriculum, and teaching materials are provided. What You’ll Do Assist the lead instructor during coding, AI, and digital creativity classes Help students ages 7–14 follow instructions and complete classroom projects Support children with laptops, coding platforms, logins, and basic technical issues Provide individual assistance to students who need additional guidance Help prepare laptops, classroom materials, and student workstations before class Help maintain a positive, organized, safe, and engaging classroom environment Support classroom transitions, breaks, student check-in, and parent pick-up Track attendance and help maintain basic class records Welcome students and parents and communicate professionally with families Assist during free demo classes for prospective students Help clean up and organize the classroom after each session All curriculum, lesson plans, classroom materials, and paid training are provided. What We’re Looking For Friendly, patient, and comfortable working with children ages 7–14 Reliable, punctual, organized, and attentive to detail Strong communication and interpersonal skills Comfortable using laptops, web-based platforms, and common digital tools Able to follow the lead instructor’s directions and work as part of a team Comfortable helping manage a group of children with different skill levels Consistent availability every Saturday Reliable transportation to Boca Raton Willingness to complete a background check Preferred Qualifications Experience working with children through teaching, tutoring, camps, babysitting, coaching, mentoring, or after-school programs Current enrollment in or completion of a program in Education, Computer Science, Information Technology, Digital Media, Psychology, or another related field Familiarity with Scratch, Python, Roblox Studio, Minecraft Education, graphic design, AI tools, or other educational technology platforms Bilingual English and Spanish is a plus, but not required Schedule Saturdays from 9:30 AM to 3:00 PM Approximately 5.5 hours per week Regular and consistent Saturday availability is required Compensation $18–$20 per hour, depending on experience Part-time, 1099 independent contractor position Paid training provided Why Join Code Space Lab?
