Type: Full TimeLocation: Washington, DCOvertime Exempt: NoReports To: ARMADA HQSecurity Clearance Required: Active Top SecretCONTINGENT UPON AWARDING OF GOVERNMENT CONTRACT******** The Security Specialist assists with the overall management and operations of the AOC Security Program.Duties & ResponsibilitiesThe Security Specialist I will act as a liaison and coordinate with various Legislative Branch Organizations on security matters.Assist program officials with developing written procedures compliant to established policies.Develop, review, and revise general security policies and procedures.The Security Specialist I will assist in developing, implementing, and enforcing SCIF security policies and procedures.Provide routine management for a SCIF and classified information security program.Conduct security briefings and training sessions for personnel accessing classified information, OPSEC and general security awareness training.The Security Specialist I shall participate in security audits and inspections, identifying vulnerabilities and recommending corrective actions.Assist in incident response and reporting, including investigating security breaches.The Security Specialist I shall provide support and guidance to security staff and other personnel on security-related matters.Stay updated on changes in security regulations and best practices, advising the organization accordingly.Assist with other security duties as assigned.Knowledge, Skills, And Abilities (KSAs)Minimum EducationDisclaimerExcellent verbal and written communication skills and attention to detail.Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite products.Can conform to shifting priorities, demands, and timelines.Ability to discuss technical issues with non-technical, executive-level government officials. Minimum\/General Experience:Must have a current Top Secret personnel security clearance and the ability to maintain such clearance throughout the life of the contractMinimum of two (2), preferably four (4), years of relevant multi-disciplined security experience to include but not limited to physical security, SCIF, secure room management, information security and policy development.High School DiplomaThe above information has been designed to indicate the general nature and level of work to be performed.
