This role partners closely with the New York–based Regulatory Accounting function and plays a critical role in systems transformations, data reconciliation, and regulatory reporting accuracy across large‑scale financial platforms.The ideal candidate brings deep accounting expertise, strong systems acumen, and the ability to operate effectively across technology, finance, and external vendor teams in a highly regulated environment.Key Responsibilities Partner closely with the U.S. Regulatory Accounting team to support ongoing accounting, reporting, and regulatory initiatives. Contribute to the creation and review of Business Requirements Documents (BRDs) to support enhancements to accounting and financial reporting systems. Act as a key finance representative during systems implementations, interfacing directly with external vendors, technology teams, and internal stakeholders. Lead and actively participate in User Acceptance Testing (UAT) to validate accounting logic, reporting outputs, and data integrity. Perform complex account reconciliations during development and implementation phases to ensure regulatory and financial accuracy. Analyze reporting configurations and financial data across multiple source systems and databases to ensure alignment with U.S. GAAP and internal controls. Communicate findings, risks, and recommendations effectively to senior stakeholders across Finance, Technology, and Regulatory functions. Required Experience & Qualifications 15+ years of progressive accounting experience, within financial services, banking, or capital markets environments. Demonstrated experience developing and implementing FP&A and financial reporting processes in complex organizations. Strong working knowledge of U.S. GAAP accounting and financial reporting frameworks. Proven ability to query multiple databases, analyze large data sets, and perform advanced Excel‑based reconciliations and validations. Hands‑on experience supporting financial systems implementations, enhancements, or major platform transformations. Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to translate complex accounting and systems topics for diverse audiences. Preferred Experience Background supporting regulatory accounting or regulatory reporting within a large financial institution. Experience collaborating with technology teams and third‑party system vendors. Familiarity with enterprise financial systems, data warehouses, or reporting platforms used in banking environments.
