Certified Medical Assistant

East Texas Ear, Nose, & Throat, the office of Ryan M. Guillory, MD, Marisa N. H. Guillory, MD, Hunter Skoog, MD, and James Leath, FNP-C, has an immediate opening for a reliable Certified Medical Assistant to help keep our busy practice running efficiently. The CMA will work with each of our providers. The CMA will also work as a scribe for all providers. The CMA will gain experience working in ENT as well as Sleep Medicine. Bilingual is a plus.Responsibilities include but are not limited to:Assists patients to the exam room and obtains/verifies accurate vitals and histories.Secures chief complaintAccompanies the provider into the exam room and transcribes the history and physical examination as well as accurately documents the physician's encounter with the patient and others present.Sends referrals, prescriptions, lab orders, imaging orders, and surgery orders as requiredObtains imaging and medication prior authorizationsAssists providers in office surgeries, sets up appropriate surgical instrument tray.Maintains clean exam rooms and instruments.CMA must have excellent communication, customer service, and computer skills. It is imperative that the candidate is reliable, works well in a fast paced environment, and works well as part of a team. Candidate should be well organized, hard working, and driven.
