Provides cross-functional partnership with corporate positions and club teams to maximize profitability, deliver a great member experience and team member experience, and simplify our business. This position must reside in Northern California and be willing to travel to assigned markets.Club Excellence and Member ServiceResponsible for field execution of all operational programs and systems to ensure clubs are clean, friendly, and well maintained. Identifies and provides necessary training to improve execution.Retains members by ensuring clubs are maintained both operationally and in accordance with customer service standards through training and development of club leadership (i.e. Service Managers) and providing appropriate support, as needed.Works cross-functionally to achieve timely repairs and maintenance activities at each club, including review of key reports, vendor management, and prioritization of club needs.Directs rollout and implementation of new operational policies and procedures and conducts compliance checks, as appropriate.Supports club teams with social media strategy and tactics for Facebook and Yelp. Reviews divisional issues and work with teams to address.Partners with club teams, field leadership and kids club program managers ensure all policy, procedure and guidelines are adhered to and to train, provide counsel and feedback, as appropriate.Supports club and field leadership by developing service team; includes club visits, training and effective communication.Provides counsel and support around club risk and compliance execution. This includes legal compliance with both State and Federal laws.Club Operations and SupportPartners with President of Clubs and Vice President of Club Operations to attain operational goals and priorities.Works with field team and corporate operations in determining capital expenditures, budget and overall club effectiveness.Recommends operational efficiencies to improve execution and expense control based on expertise, field feedback and results.Supports President with meetings, market visits and respective rhythms. Follows-up and measures all task items to deliver objectives and outcomes.Assists in the successful operation of new club openings.Company Roll-Outs/ProgramsInitiates and/or coordinates rollouts and on-going implementation of company programs; provide feedback on timing, project needs, and field requirements.Acts as cross-functional liaison between corporate and field teams.Collaborates with cross-functional leaders regarding initiatives.Labor Management and Expense ControlWorks with club operations and finance to determine appropriate labor budgets.Supports regions, districts, and clubs with scheduling and payroll expense budgets. May include developing timely and adequate staffing plans that meet targetsWorks with District and Regional leaders on a full understanding of the P&L, the levers that impact the business, and the drivers of profitability.Organization RelationshipsThis position reports directly to the Vice President of Club Operations and has significant interaction with the field leadership team. This position works closely with the President of Clubs to ensure operational priorities are achieved. Position needs to form key working relationships with other department leaders, such as Retail, Category Management, Marketing, Business Development, Real Estate and Development, Legal, Member Services, Procurement, and IT.Required QualificationsKnowledge, Skills & AbilitiesStrong leadership abilities.Excellent written and oral communication and presentation skills to articulate both strategic direction and tactical action stepsStrong interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to work on cross-functional teams in both a leadership and member roleAbility to analyze data, summarize findings, and propose recommendations for future improvementsStrong problem-solving skillsMinimum Certifications/Educational Level4-year Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience required. A degree in business administration or other relevant majors desired.Minimum ExperienceMinimum 10 years' experience in business administration or operationsExperience in working with business partners in a matrix-oriented business environment is desiredExperience in collaborating with cross-functional teams (internal and external)Experience managing projects or company initiatives preferredMulti-unit management experience preferredPhysical RequirementsSome travel required.Work is performed in a standard office environment without unpleasant or hazardous conditions. Salary range will vary based on geography of the applicant. Pay Range for Los Angeles, Orange County and Seattle: $134,550.00-$181,643.00 (Exempt), $64.69-$87.33 (Non-Exempt) Pay Range for Bay Area (California) & New York City (incl. New Jersey): $140,400.00-$189,540.00 (Exempt), $67.50-$91.13 (Non-Exempt) Pay Range for San Diego & Carlsbad (California) and all other locations: $126,360.00-$170,586.00 (Exempt), $60.75-$82.01 (Non-Exempt)
