Job Title: Measurements EngineerDuration: 12 months with possible extensionLocation: Painted Post NY 14870Job type: Onsite/ HybridDescription:Day to Day Responsibilities:➢ Work closely with the measurements group to develop approaches for data manipulation to assist with production and quality feedback.➢ Develop software and image processing algorithms for inspection technology.➢ Transfer technology from early-stage development to a product suitable for use in manufacturing.➢ Create/update documentation for release to production for applications and procedures.➢ Train engineering, maintenance and operations people how to use and maintain developed applications and procedures.➢ Provide remote and onsite troubleshooting using data and performance analysis of the deployed applications.Required Education:BS degree required, prefer advanced degree in Data Science, Computer Engineering, Physics, EE, ECE or Optics.Required Experience/Skills:➢ Programming ability (C# & Python strongly preferred)➢ Understanding of Object-Oriented Programming and other software architectureconcepts➢ Knowledge of image processing algorithms (blob analysis, edge finding, morphology,feature extraction, classification, metrology)Corning Restricted➢ Data retrieval, plotting and analysis➢ Strong communication and presentation skills (MS Office programs)Desired Experience/Skills:➢ Experience with image processing development packages such as Halcon or OpenCV➢ Ability to train CNNs and utilize traditional machine learning methods➢ Knowledge of statistical analysis approaches and MEE concepts➢ Ability to interface with Database Management Systems➢ Experience with Metrology, Inspection and Product Quality in support ofmanufacturing➢ Optical measurements system development (optics, lighting, cameras, imageacquisition, image analysis, laser, 3D measurement)➢ Fundamental knowledge of physical optics (principles of optics)Soft Skills:➢ Ability to interact effectively with customers & coworkers as well as workindependently.➢ You will need to be results oriented, a quick learner and be able to multi-taskeffectivelyTravel Requirements:➢ NoneHours of work/work schedule/flex-time:40 hrs./week
