Source One is a consulting services company and we’re currently looking for the following individual to work as a consultant with our direct client, an on demand autonomous ride-hauling company in San Diego, CANo Third-Party, No Corp to Corp, No Sponsorship Now, Future or Temporary AuthorizationTitle: SP - System Test Engineer - AutonomyLocation: San Diego, CAOnsite (Mon-Fri, 30 + hours)Contract Duration: 6 - 12 months, with likely extensionPay Rate: $26.30 per hour (w2)Job SummaryOur client, an autonomous ride-hailing company, is seeking a System Test Engineer - Autonomy to support the validation, reporting, and issue tracking processes that ensure the quality and readiness of autonomous driving systems. This role focuses on validating mapping data, maintaining critical datasets, automating workflows, and coordinating cross-functional issue resolution to support software testing and deployment.The ideal candidate is a detail-oriented engineer or analyst with strong Python skills, experience working with data, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced engineering environment.Key ResponsibilitiesCoordinate weekly cross-functional triage meetings to track mapping issues, software defects, and data discrepancies through resolution.Execute mapping validation processes to ensure mapping updates meet quality and deployment requirements.Maintain, audit, and update datasets that support software validation and deployment readiness.Monitor mapping coverage, quality metrics, and deployment status, providing reports on program health and progress.Track project milestones and performance metrics to support autonomy software release schedules.Develop and maintain Python scripts to automate data validation, reporting, and workflow improvements.Partner with engineering teams to investigate issues, improve data integrity, and enhance validation processes.Required Qualifications3 + years of experience in system test engineering, data operations, project coordination, software testing, or a related technical field.Proficiency with Python for scripting, automation, data manipulation, and log analysis.Experience working with Jira, Confluence, SQL, Excel, or Google Sheets.Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to coordinate across engineering teams.Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, GIS, Robotics, or another STEM discipline, or equivalent practical experience.Preferred QualificationsExperience supporting Autonomous Vehicles, Robotics, GIS, HD Mapping, or ADAS technologies.Experience using AI-assisted development tools such as GitHub Copilot, Cursor, or Claude Code.Experience with software validation, data quality, or system testing.Experience creating dashboards, reports, and performance metrics.Work LocationSan Diego, CA 92128Interview Process30-minute Hiring Manager Zoom interview90-minute on-site panel interview
