Computer Programmer

Responsible for designing, developing, modifying, testing, and installing software applications, ensuring they meet functional and technical requirements. Translates detailed logical steps and business processes into coded solutions, debugging and resolving software issues, documenting system designs and workflows, and collaborating closely with analysts and subject‑matter experts to create reliable, efficient applications that support organizational IT needs.Typical Duties: While exact duties will be defined in the SOW and contract scope, common responsibilities include:Design, develop, modify, test, install, and support new or existing software applications, covering the full lifecycle of applications software.Translate detailed logical steps or system requirements into code that computers can process, requiring understanding of programming languages, system limitations, and workflow logic.Document software designs, coding workflows, and technical specifications to ensure maintainability and clarity for future updates or team use.Debug, troubleshoot, and resolve software issues to maintain reliable and efficient program operations.Interview analysts or subject‑matter experts to understand business processes and convert them into efficient software solutions.Qualifications: Experience: 2–5 years of programming experience involving multiple languages, frameworks, and stages of the SDLC.Certifications: common certifications include Sun/Oracle Certified Java Programmer (SCJP/OCP Java) , Programming in C# Certification (Microsoft), software Engineering Master Certification (SEMC) (IEEE), Popular general credentials: Certified Scrum Master (CSM), Microsoft Azure Developer Associate, CompTIA Linux+, AWS Developer Associate, Python certifications.
