Conveniently situated near San Francisco's top hotels, restaurants, and cultural landmarks, Terra is designed to elevate every event experience.Role DescriptionThe Beverage Manager oversees all beverage operations to deliver exceptional guest satisfaction and ensure compliance with safety and service standards. This role requires a professional with deep bartending and mixology experience who brings a creative spark to the venue's offerings. Based on-site in San Francisco, you will combine technical expertise with innovative thinking to design standout drink programs, manage inventory, and collaborate with event teams to execute high-quality beverage service.Key Responsibilities Creative Beverage Design: Develop innovative cocktail menus and unique beverage programs that reflect current trends and elevate the guest experience.Operational Leadership: Oversee all beverage distribution during events, ensuring professional mixology standards and efficient service.Staffing: Oversee the onsite beverage team including all staffing/scheduling. Technical Training: Lead and mentor staff on bartending techniques, pour consistency, and advanced service protocols.Inventory & Logistics: Manage all beverage assets, including stock levels, ordering, and organization.Strategic Collaboration: Work closely with event planning teams to design and execute tailored beverage programs for a variety of clients.Vendor Relations: Build strong relationships with suppliers and craft distributors to source high-quality, trending products.Compliance: Maintain full adherence to California ABC regulations and workplace safety standards.QualificationsExperience: Minimum of 2-4 years of experience in high-volume beverage management, luxury hospitality, or premium event venues.Physical Ability: Must be able to stand for long periods and lift up to 50 lbs (kegs, cases, and equipment).Flexibility: Ability to work a non-traditional schedule, including evenings, late nights, and weekends based on the event calendar.Mixology Expertise: A sophisticated understanding of spirits, flavor profiles, and modern techniques (e.g., infusions, house-made syrups).Hospitality Excellence: A dedication to providing a "guest-first" experience in a fast-paced environment.Organizational Mastery: High attention to detail regarding logistics, cleanliness, and stocking efficiency.Certifications: * Valid California Responsible Beverage Service (RBS) certification, Valid California Food Handler Card or Manager certification.How to ApplyIf this sounds like a good match, we want to hear from you!
