Driver Helper

Overview: We are seeking a reliable and motivated Driver's Helper to join our team. As a Driver's Helper, you will assist the driver in the safe and efficient delivery of goods to various locations. This is a great opportunity for individuals looking to gain experience in the transportation industry. Responsibilities: - Assist the driver in loading and unloading goods onto the delivery vehicle - Secure cargo for transport to prevent damage or shifting during transit - Navigate delivery routes using GPS or maps - Communicate effectively with the driver and customers - Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections - Adhere to all safety regulations and traffic laws - Provide exceptional customer service during deliveries - Must be able to pass a background check. Minor offenses and first time offender may apply. Experience: - Must be able to lift 50 to 65 lbs - Must be able to assemble gym equipment and install appliances. - Previous experience as a Driver's Helper or in a similar role is preferred but not required - Familiarity with shuttle driving, delivery driver responsibilities, or commercial vehicle operations is a plus - Knowledge of mechanical operations for basic troubleshooting is advantageous - Experience with box trucks, pallet jacks, heavy haul vehicles, tankers, or freight handling is beneficial - Military experience related to logistics or transportation is a bonus Job Types: Full-time, Part-time Pay: $140.00 - $180.00 per day Expected hours: 40 per week Schedule: Monday to Friday Weekends as needed Supplemental Pay: Performance bonus Trucking Driver Type: Company driver Team driver Trucking Route: Local Short haul License/Certification: Driver's License (Preferred) Ability to Commute: Kinston, NC (Required) Ability to Relocate: Kinston, NC: Relocate before starting work (Required) Work Location: In person
