Our committed and well-trained workforce professionals deliver comprehensive workforce solutions at integrated career centers, sector-focused centers and community, and partner sites.Job DescriptionFacilitates in-person and virtual job readiness and other program-related workshops for customers, clients and participantsManages workshop sign-up and sign-in processTracks workshop attendanceCreates monthly workshop calendarRecommends workshop content, including improvementsParticipates in workshop content development as neededWorks with project leadership to evaluate the success of job readiness and other program-related workshopsManages a caseload of participants and provides counseling and mentoringAssesses participant competencies, work history, educational attainment, skills and abilities; identifies challenges to finding employment and prompts them to find solutionsCompletes an individualized overview of available services and works with participant to create an employment plan for short- and long-term goalsMaintains information about area resources and employersEnsures participant accountability and attendance; tracks and maintains employment retention goalsProvides government agencies with prompt notification that a participant has lost or reduced hours of employmentMaintains scheduled, periodic contact with participants in a variety of locations to assess job retention/advancement issuesProvides information to participants on available training and/or jobs that will lead to advancementAssumes central responsibility for participants achieving self-sufficiency by monitoring progress throughout the program cycle, beginning with referral and continuing through retention and advancement effortsPrepares, organizes, and maintains accurate, updated information in both electronic and paper participant files reflecting the entire history of a program participant including log of supportive services issuedProvides case management with a focus on helping customers to prepare for employment that leads to self-sufficiencyFacilitates customer access to training, education, and to employment services, as well as job-specific information; provide case management to customers at the appropriate levelAdditional duties as assignedQualificationsBachelor’s degree in human services, social services, education or related field preferred; An equivalent combination of acceptable related experience and training may be substituted on a year for year basis for the education requirementDemonstrated ability to train and instruct in a group settingExperience using videoconferencing systems (i.e. Webex, Zoom, etc.)Strong computer skillsStrong verbal communication and customer service skillsBilingual a plusAdditional InformationAll your information will be kept confidential according to EEO guidelines.Equus Workforce Solutions is a leading provider of workforce development services in North America.
