Bartender

Job Summary: We are seeking a highly skilled and enthusiastic Bartender to join our dynamic team at LongCross Bar and Kitchen. As a Bartender, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service, preparing and serving a variety of beverages, and maintaining a clean and organized bar area. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in retail math, food safety, and sales, as well as experience with cash registers and point-of-sale systems like Aloha POS. Duties: - Greet customers and provide prompt and courteous service, answering questions about menu items and specials - Prepare and serve a variety of beverages, including cocktails, beer, and wine - Maintain a clean and organized bar area, including the bar, shelves, and storage areas - Manage cash register and handle customer transactions accurately - Utilize food industry knowledge to answer questions about ingredients and preparation methods - Develop and maintain a thorough understanding of our menu and ingredients - Work effectively as part of a team to ensure seamless service and high-quality products - Demonstrate a strong commitment to food safety and adhere to all applicable health and safety regulations - Assist with inventory management and ordering supplies as needed - Provide help and support to customers and colleagues, both in person and over the phone - Stay up-to-date with industry trends and develop new skills to enhance the customer experience - Participate in ongoing training and development programs to improve knowledge and performance Qualifications: - Previous experience as a bartender in a restaurant setting - Strong knowledge of retail math and the ability to handle cash and credit transactions accurately - Familiarity with food industry practices and standards - Excellent time management and multitasking skills - Proven sales skills and the ability to upsell and promote products and services - Experience with cash registers and point-of-sale systems like Aloha POS - A passion for brewing and a commitment to providing high-quality beverages - A strong understanding of food safety and the ability to maintain a clean and organized bar area - The ability to provide help and support to customers and colleagues, both in person and over the phone - A commitment to ongoing training and development to improve knowledge and performance By joining our team as a Bartender, you will have the opportunity to develop your skills and knowledge, work with a dynamic and supportive team, and contribute to the success of our restaurant.
