Network Validation engineer3 days hybridMountainview, CA w2 only  - Activate an ONT on an XGS-PON, apply the right light levels on both ONT and OLT, verify its status and configuration on OLT- Set up the profiles on the BNG to dynamically add new subscribers- Ensure the ONT is manageably by the NMS (ADTRAN AOE or Nokia AMS or similar management systems)- Using DHCP traffic from a Spirent/IXIA Test Center 10G port, activate the subscriber on the BNG- Set up multiple upstream and downstream traffic flows with varying sizes to test the network performance and scale- Verify the traffic at different aggregation points in the network (ONT, OLT PON port, backplane, OLT uplink, BNG downlink, routing table etc.)- Apply the necessary static route configuration on the BNG to establish management connectivity to the OLTs- Set up SD-WAN solutions from different supplies for evaluation, craft the necessary test plans and execute test cases to report the findings for vendor selection- Evaluate Customer Edge routers from different suppliers to make product recommendations Job Description & Responsibilities- Set up validation test beds in the lab involving Nokia 7750 Service Router, Nokia & ADTRAN OLTs, optical splitters, GPON & XGS-PON ONTs, WiFi routers, aggregation & management switches- Develop test plans to validate features & functionality in the access network space (BNG, OLTs & ONTs) for ultra-speed residential internet services and Enterprise network connectivity services (Ethernet, MPLS, wavelength based)- Perform the necessary testing using 3rd party traffic generation tools such as IXIA and Spirent- Review & troubleshoot issues in the test bed and traffic generators during test execution- Work with the equipment vendors and internal teams to provision, validate and troubleshoot services Qualifications- At least 5 years of experience with a service provider or equipment manufacturer in testing or deploying internet services & Enterprise data services is required (residential internet service, Ethernet transport services such as E-Line, E-LAN and E-Tree, dedicated internet access, SD WAN, L2/L3 VPNs, cloud / data center interconnect, L2 wholesale).- Prior experience with Nokia/ADTRAN OLTs, ONTs and Nokia/Cisco/Juniper switches and routers, Nokia 7750 PE router- Prior experience with TCP-IP, and L2/L3 networking, passive optical networks such as GPON and XGS-PON, different types of ONTs, ONT activation, DBA, QoS and traffic management, EVPN, MPLS, L2/L3 VPNs, SD-WAN etc.- In-depth knowledge of IP routing protocols such as OSPF and BGP- Experience in configuring and troubleshooting routing protocols on various networking devices such as routers and switches- Strong understanding of routing metrics, routing tables, and routing topologies- Experience in implementing security measures for IP routing, such as access control lists and route filtering- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills- Excellent communication and team collaboration skills- Prior experience with Spirent/IXIA traffic generators, RFC2544, Y.1564 testers- Prior experience with Python and Expect Certifications: CCNA (Cisco Certified Network Associate), CCNP (Cisco Certified NetworkProfessional
