This role is essential in negotiating balances, managing lien reductions, and maintaining ongoing communication with attorneys, insurance carriers, and third-party payors.The ideal candidate is highly organized, detail-oriented, and skilled in professional negotiation, with the ability to balance advocacy for fair resolution while maintaining accurate documentation and compliance standards.Key Responsibilities:Negotiate reductions on medical balances and liens with attorneys, insurance companies, and third-party payors.Communicate regularly with law firms to obtain case status updates and ensure timely account resolution.Maintain thorough, accurate documentation of all negotiations, correspondence, and account activity.Prepare and submit weekly reports detailing lien reduction progress and case status updates.Collaborate with internal departments and external partners to support efficient resolution workflows.Track follow-up actions and ensure all negotiated terms are properly implemented.Monitor aging accounts and prioritize resolution efforts accordingly.Ensure full compliance with HIPAA, legal requirements, and organizational policies.Deliver professional, respectful, and responsive communication in all interactions.Monitor reduced balances through final payment confirmation.Requirements:1+ year of experience in personal injury, lien resolution, medical billing, or behavioral/mental health billing (preferred).Strong negotiation, verbal, and written communication skills.Exceptional attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate records.Proficiency in Microsoft 365 (Excel, Word, Outlook) and ability to learn case management systems.Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.Working knowledge of HIPAA regulations and handling of sensitive mental health information.
