2026-2027 School Year: Future Consideration - Math Teacher

We are accepting applications for potential Math Teacher openings at our IB Campus (Grades 7-12) for the 2026-2027 school year. New employees are expected to attend New Teacher Orientation on August 13th and August 14th, as well as the week of staff professional development beginning August 17th. The first day of school for students is August 24, 2026. An SLCS Teacher is responsible for planning, instruction, activities, and assessments aligned with the SLCS curriculum. Teachers design and implement an integrated instructional program that supports an inclusion-based learning approach, fostering a safe environment that respects academic and cultural diversity. Teachers are also expected to collaborate with fellow educators and support staff to deliver instructional strategies that address a wide range of learning styles, individual needs, interests, abilities, and levels of student development. Key Responsibilities: The Math Teacher is responsible for:Designing, developing, and delivering curriculum and instructional programs aligned with the mission and vision of the schoolEstablishing clear objectives for all lessons, units, and projects, and effectively communicating those objectives to studentsCreating and maintaining engaging classroom environments that promote inquiry-based learning and meaningful discussionImplementing classroom management procedures that clearly communicate expectations and support an effective learning environmentUsing multiple forms of authentic assessment to evaluate and report student learning outcomesMaintaining up-to-date gradebooks and providing timely progress reports, including meaningful comments on student strengths and areas for growthMaintaining accurate and complete student records in accordance with legal requirements, school policies, and administrative regulationsParticipating in Back-to-School Night, parent-teacher conferences, and other school eventsPlanning and coordinating unit exhibitions Position Requirements:Bachelor's degree in Education or a related fieldValid Pennsylvania Department of Education certification in Mathematics 7-12Prior experience with International Baccalaureate (MYP or DP) programmes preferredDemonstrated understanding of and commitment to inclusive learning practicesAbility to work effectively in a collaborative team environmentStrong research, planning, and organizational skillsStrong communication and interpersonal skillsAbility to build positive relationships with students to support their developmentProficiency with Microsoft Office and Google tools Thank you for your interest in a position with School Lane Charter School.
