Director, Transfer Pricing
We are seeking a director for a high-visibility Transfer Pricing consulting role. Directors serve as senior leaders on the Transfer Pricing team, leading complex client engagements, shaping strategic business and pricing decisions, and working directly with senior client stakeholders and firm leadership. This role offers the opportunity to combine deep technical expertise with client leadership, mentoring, and business development within a collaborative and flexible team environment.This position is hybrid. This position can be located in Boston, Chicago or New York office.ResponsibilitiesLead complex and high‑profile transfer pricing consulting engagements, including global documentation and planning strategies; audit defense, controversy, and APA matters; and intangible property planning, valuation, restructurings, and M&A‑related projectsAct as a trusted advisor to senior client stakeholdersOversee direct functional and economic analyses to ensure alignment with actual business operations and to support practical, defensible conclusionsAdvise clients on business restructurings, IP migration, and intercompany license arrangementsDirect and review sophisticated valuation and financial modeling analyses to support transfer pricing positions and planning initiativesBuild and maintain long-term client relationships, identifying strategic opportunities for additional servicesOriginate and lead business development initiatives, including proposals, pitches, and networkingMentor and develop team membersCollaborate across practices on multidisciplinary consulting projectsContribute to firm‑wide thought leadership and market positioningWhat We Look For6–9+ years of transfer pricing experience, preferably in a consulting environmentDemonstrated ability to leverage economic and financial expertise to advise clients on strategic decisions and support defensible tax positionsStrong executive communication capability, able to present sophisticated economic analyses in a structured and clear mannerDemonstrated ability to oversee and direct complex research and analytical workAdvanced Excel / modeling and quantitative skills supporting high‑impact client advisory workExperience leveraging AI-enabled tools, analytics, or automation to enhance analyses and streamline workflowsProject management skills, with the ability to manage multiple concurrent engagements and deadlinesProven client‑relationship and team‑leadership capabilitiesIn-depth understanding of U.S. and OECD transfer pricing principlesAbility to translate complex technical issues into pragmatic business adviceMaster’s degree in the field of Economics, Business, Finance, or Accounting preferred but not mandatory Your recruiter will be happy to walk you through your U.S.-specific benefits, which include:Healthcare Coverage: Comprehensive medical, dental, and vision plans.Time Off and Leave Policies: Generous paid time off (PTO), paid company holidays, generous parental and family leave.Protective Insurances: Life insurance, short- and long-term disability coverage, and accident protection.Compensation and Rewards: Competitive salary structures, performance-based incentives, and merit-based compensation reviews.Retirement Plans: 401(k) plans with company matching.Please note that benefits may vary by region, department and role.
