LISBON SCHOOL DEPARTMENTDIRECTOR OF NUTRITIONBrief Job DescriptionThe district is seeking applications for a Director of Nutrition beginning July 1, 2026. Candidates should have a strong knowledge of food service program planning, required food safety practices, management of scheduling, finances and staffing, as well as the ability to maintain accurate production records which conform to federal/state guidelines. This individual has oversight of the breakfast and lunch programs and staff for the district’s 4 locations, as well as supporting special program needs, often working alongside kitchen staff.Knowledge of PowerSchool, NEO Reporting, spreadsheets and maintaining knowledge of ongoing state nutrition initiatives and grants is required.Special Requirements / Experience NeededThe successful candidate will hold or be able to obtain ServSafe certification, a valid Maine driver’s license and a clean Criminal History Record Check. Preferred, but not required, qualifications include a Bachelor of Science in food service management or food nutrition; prior years of experience in food service management or school nutrition; and/or to be a registered dietitian/school nutrition specialist.
