Utility Technician - Americus

TITLE: General Utility Tech REPORTS TO: Dietary Manager Non-Exempt PURPOSE OF POSITION: The primary purpose of your job position is to provide assistance in all dietary functions as directed/instructed and in accordance with established dietary policies and procedures. As a Utility Technician, you are delegated the administrative authority, responsibility, and accountability necessary for carrying out your assigned duties. ROLES and RESPONSIBILITIES: 1. Maintain the care and use of supplies, equipment, the appearance of work areas, and perform regular inspections of food service areas for sanitation, order, safety and proper performance. 2. Prepare dishwater for operation, empties and cleans it when finished. 3. Operate dishwasher to ensure thorough cleaning of dishware and utensils. 4. Keep all equipment, working areas, walls, floors and fans clean and orderly. 5. Report any needed supplies, faulty working equipment, accidents, problems, etc. 6. Performs all other duties as assigned by Dietary Manager or Assistant Dietary Manager. 7. Ensure that necessary equipment and supplies are maintained. 8. Assist in maintaining food storage areas in a clean and properly arranged manner. 9. Dispose of food and waste in accordance with established policies.
