A LITTLE INFO ABOUT THE JOB: A Food Runner/Expo is responsible for representing the restaurant as the last part of the quality assurance line for food quality. S/he provides guest service that exhibits professionalism, attention to detail, and the desire to make sure all food goes out in a quality manner. Here are a few examples of what it takes to be successful in the \Food Runner/Expo\ position with Gator’s Dockside Restaurants Deliver food orders from the kitchen to customers’ tables rapidly and accurately Act as the contact point between Front of the House and Back of the House staff Communicate food orders to cooks, paying attention to priorities and special requests (e.g. food allergies) Ensure food is served in accordance with safety standards (e.g. proper temperature) Remove dirty dishes and utensils Answer guests’ questions about ingredients and menu items Inform restaurant staff about customers’ feedback or requests (e.g. when they ask for the check) Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.
