This firm is currently seeking a motivated and proactive Healthcare Architect to join their healthcare design team.LocationThis position is based in either the Kansas City, Missouri office or the Lawrence, Kansas office.Role OverviewThe Healthcare Architect will be responsible for planning, designing, and managing healthcare projects from early programming through project completion. This role includes collaboration with multidisciplinary teams, leadership in design execution, and involvement in business development to support the continued growth of the healthcare market sector.Key ResponsibilitiesLead the planning, design, and delivery of healthcare projects from initial programming through construction administrationCollaborate with multidisciplinary internal teams and external consultants on a variety of healthcare project types, including hospitals, outpatient clinics, specialty care centers, and health education facilities (allied health, health sciences, and research)Coordinate work efforts across architecture, engineering, interior design, and other disciplines to ensure cohesive and high-quality project outcomesOversee project documentation and ensure projects are delivered on schedule and within scopeDevelop and maintain strong relationships with existing clients while actively pursuing new client opportunitiesSupport marketing and business development efforts, including proposal preparation and client presentationsLead, mentor, and support multi-disciplinary staff with an emphasis on healthcare expertise and professional growthCommunicate clearly and effectively with clients, project teams, and stakeholders to convey design intent and technical requirementsQualificationsLicensed Architect with a minimum of 10 years of professional healthcare design experienceStrong knowledge of healthcare regulations, codes, and standards, including FGI and NFPAEDAC certification preferred, but not requiredProven business development experience with an established professional networkDemonstrated ability to grow, lead, and sustain client relationshipsStrong leadership skills with experience mentoring and managing design teamsExcellent written, verbal, and presentation communication skillsAbility to clearly articulate and present design concepts to clients and stakeholdersProficiency in Revit, AutoCAD, Excel, PowerPoint, Adobe Creative Suite, Enscape, and other design and visualization toolsExperience overseeing the documentation and delivery of complex healthcare projectsBenefits & CultureOpportunity to expand and lead a strong and growing healthcare market sectorCollaborative, team-based work environment focused on innovative and impactful designAbility to influence sustainable design and energy-use reduction on projects nationwideCompetitive compensation and comprehensive benefits package, including profit-sharing potentialOpportunities for professional development, advancement, and leadership growthTravel opportunitiesFlexible work hoursCasual and inclusive work environmentPhysical and mental health and wellness incentivesFirm-sponsored social and recreational activities, including sports teamsIf you are interested in this opportunity, apply now!
