Our team reflects this mission, fostering a supportive and collaborative environment.Position OverviewThis role is designed for an experienced litigator who thrives in the courtroom and is comfortable leading high-stakes family law matters from strategy through trial.Key ResponsibilitiesHandle contested hearings, temporary orders, and trialsLead negotiations in adversarial mattersDevelop and execute trial strategy, including stepping in when mediation is unsuccessfulConduct depositions and prepare witnesses for testimonyReview and revise pleadings, motions, and responses prepared by the drafting teamSupport clients through court appearances using a thoughtful, client-centered approachWhat This Role Does Not IncludeDrafting premarital agreements, modifications, or final decreesManaging initial consultations or intake processesPreparing exhibit binders or trial notebooksHandling high-volume drafting work outside of litigation strategyActing as the primary point of contact for ongoing client emotional supportCompensation & BenefitsBase salary: $160,000–$200,000, depending on experiencePerformance bonus tied to collected revenue above target10% origination bonus on self-generated mattersHealth, dental, and vision coverage (50% employer-paid after 30 days)401(k) with 3% employer match after one yearPaid time off and flexible work-from-home optionsBar dues, CLEs, and firm retreats coveredClear path to leadership and partnership opportunitiesQualificationsActive Texas Bar license or reciprocity in progress3+ years of family law litigation experience, or 5+ years of civil litigation with a demonstrated transition into family lawStrong courtroom experience, including contested hearings and/or trialsSolid understanding of civil procedure and family law deadlinesBoard Certification in Family Law or Trial Law is a plusHigh level of emotional intelligence and sound judgmentStrong professional reputation, including client and peer endorsements
