Service Technician

If you're committed to delivering excellent customer service, and this position sounds like a good fit, apply today!Responsibilities:Determine and investigate any malfunction codes in the vehicle's integrated diagnostic system using skilled expertise and diagnostic toolsEnsure a straightforward repair process by clearly communicating systems issues and repairsAdhere to manufacturer specifications to maintain vehicle systems and ensure customer satisfactionHelp establish service protocols for tracking the status of repairs, maintaining relevant technical manuals, using charts, and more for all of our dealershipsPerform routine automotive maintenance tasks, including oil changes, tire rotations, and filter replacementsDiagnose and repair issues with vehiclesInspect and test automotive electrical systems for faults and malfunctionsReplace worn or damaged parts, such as shocks, struts, and suspension componentsPerform scheduled vehicle maintenance services according to manufacturer guidelinesKeep accurate records of all repairs and maintenance performedQualifications:GED or high school diploma is mandatoryAutomotive service technology training program completion or equivalent years of experience is required; associates degree is a bonusStellar customer service and communications skills are mandatoryNational Institute for Automotive Service Excellence, or ASE certification is strongly desiredExperience level: 3 yearsProven experience as an Automotive Technician or similar roleStrong mechanical knowledge and understanding of automotive systemsProficiency in diagnosing and repairing vehiclesFamiliarity with automotive electrical systems and troubleshooting techniques - Ability to use hand tools and diagnostic equipment effectivelyExcellent problem-solving skills and attention to detailAbility to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environmentStrong communication skills to explain technical issues to customersStrong willingness to work with others in a positive wayAbout Company:Street Volkswagen of Amarillo is the only Volkswagen dealership in Amarillo.
