Senior Technical Project Engineer
Job Description:Develop and track project plans for multiple concurrent team projects in collaboration with team members and departments, maintaining clear visibility into objectives, priorities, dependencies, and timelines across the portfolioOwn the tracking of projects from concept, requirements definition through to deployment and implementation: identification of schedules, scopes, budget estimations, and implementation plans, including risk mitigation and flagging constraintsMaintain detailed sub-task tracking within each project using standard tracking tools and approved programs,, ensuring all tasks are assigned, dated, and actively monitoredCoordinate internal and external resources to ensure that projects adhere to approved scope, published schedule, and within approved budgetAnalyze critical path items — identify project scope gaps or resource issues, work with team members to implement mitigation plans and, when necessary, revise the scope, schedule, or budget to ensure that project requirements and main objectives can be metEstablish and maintain relationships with relevant client stakeholders, departments, vendors and teams, providing regular (weekly, monthly) updates on project status and changes through approved formats and programs.ResponsibilitiesProject Tracking & ExecutionMaintain processes for managing scope during the project lifecycle — measure against quality and performance standards and assess risksSimultaneously manage and track multiple active projects, maintaining a consolidated view of status, milestones, risks, and blockers across the full portfolioBuild and maintain detailed MILs (Master Issue Lists) for each project, capturing all sub-tasks with owners, due dates, priority levels, and completion statusProactively follow up with individual team members on assigned tasks, identifying at-risk items early and escalating or re-prioritizing as neededGenerate and distribute regular status reports (weekly/biweekly) that clearly flag tasks not completed on time, root causes, and proposed corrective actionsReport project outcomes and/or risks to the appropriate management channels and escalate issues, as necessary, according to project work planVendor Management & ProcurementServe as the primary point of contact for vendors on active projects — conduct regular check-ins to track progress against agreed milestones and deliverablesFollow up with vendors on individual project status updates, hold vendors accountable to committed timelines, and escalate delays with documented impact assessmentsCoordinate vendor support activities including scoping work, collecting and evaluating competitive quotes, and managing the full quote-to-approval process which may include vendor onboardingPrepare and submit Purchase Order (PO) requests in accordance with Apple procurement processes, ensuring all required documentation and approvals are in place prior to submissionTrack vendor PO status and delivery commitments, flagging discrepancies and working with procurement and finance stakeholders to resolve them quicklyDevelop and maintain partnerships with cross-functional resources, including vendors, suppliers and consultantsResource & Stakeholder CoordinationIdentify, request, and schedule internal resources (engineering, operations, facilities, etc.) needed to support project tasks and milestonesProactively identify and highlight resource conflicts across the project portfolio and work with team leads to resolve constraints before they impact deliveryMonitor resources to ensure project efficiency and maximize deliverables — identify gaps to management teamAct as a liaison between internal teams and external partners to align on expectations, timelines, and deliverables at every stage of the project lifecycleRequired Skills and QualificationsFour or more years of project or program management experience, with demonstrated experience managing multiple concurrent projects simultaneouslyHands-on experience with MIL-based tracking or equivalent structured issue/task tracking methodologies; familiarity with standard program management tools and software strongly preferredProven ability to track, manage, and report on sub-tasks across complex, multi-workstream projectsExperience in managing cross-functional operation or technology/equipment development projectsStrong track record of vendor management, including milestone tracking, performance accountability, and procurement coordination (quotes, SOWs, PO requests)Experience navigating internal procurement processes including PO submission, approval workflows, and budget trackingStrong attention to policy, protocols, deadlines and budgetary guidelinesProven success working with and coordinating across cross-functional teamsStrong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to produce clear, high-level summaries for both executive audiences and technical teamsGood presentation skillsPowered by JazzHR
