The assignment serves students from Pre K through 12th grade, providing a unique opportunity to support communication growth across the entire developmental spectrum. The caseload is intentionally kept small, approximately 30 to 40 students, which allows the SLP to focus on high-quality, individualized care rather than high-volume scheduling. Your weekly schedule will be Monday through Thursday, with total hours ranging from 32 to 36 per week. This structure supports a healthy work-life balance and leaves additional time for planning, documentation, and collaboration, as well as time to enjoy the surrounding area. The typical day includes a mix of direct therapy sessions, evaluations, IEP meetings, consultation with teachers and related service providers, and communication with families. You may rotate between grade levels or buildings depending on the district's layout, with a strong emphasis on teamwork with special education and general education staff.
