Project Engineer

The Project Engineer is an entry-level, field-based role supporting the successful delivery of industrial construction projects. This position bridges field operations and project management by supporting documentation, estimating, cost and schedule tracking, safety and quality compliance, procurement, stakeholder communication, and project closeout.Key ResponsibilitiesSupport project coordination and documentation throughout the project lifecycle.Assist with estimating, schedule tracking, cost tracking, procurement, and project reporting.Support field operations by helping coordinate information between project managers, field teams, subcontractors, owners, engineers, and other stakeholders.Assist with safety, compliance, and quality control activities on active construction sites.Help maintain project records, submittals, RFIs, change documentation, closeout materials, and related project information.Communicate clearly and professionally with internal and external stakeholders.Learn the fundamentals of industrial construction project delivery through hands-on field experience.Contribute to a collaborative, accountable, safety-focused team environment.Required QualificationsUS citizenship required due to federal / Department of Defense project requirements.Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.0 to 2 years of experience.Strong interest in construction, field operations, and project management.Willingness to travel frequently and work on job sites across the continental United States.Strong communication, organization, and follow-through skills.Strong critical thinking skills and ability to figure things out in a practical, hands-on environment.Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and Word.Ability to work safely and effectively on active construction sites.Preferred QualificationsPrior field work, labor, construction, internship, co-op, or hands-on project experience.Familiarity with Procore, Bluebeam, scheduling tools, or related project management systems.Exposure to construction, industrial work, infrastructure, civil engineering, mechanical systems, or field operations.Interest in building a long-term career in construction project management.Location and TravelThis is a hybrid role. The initial job location is expected to be in the Denver / Lafayette, Colorado area.
