Senior Controller

Job DescriptionOur client, a growing distribution company located just north of Greenville, SC, is seeking a Senior Controller to lead the finance function and support business growth through financial planning, reporting, and strategic analysis.This role will partner closely with leadership while remaining hands-on with day-to-day accounting operations.Key ResponsibilitiesLead month-end close processes and prepare accurate financial reports and management accountsOversee AP/AR, payroll, reconciliations, and maintain general ledger integrityManage budgeting, forecasting, cash flow planning, and variance analysisDevelop financial models to support pricing, investments, and business decisionsStrengthen financial controls, ensure compliance, and support audit/tax processesPartner with leadership to provide financial insights and support growth initiativesMaintain and improve accounting systems and financial processes (Sage experience preferred)Support process improvement initiatives to increase efficiency and scalabilityCoordinate with external accountants, auditors, and internal stakeholdersQualifications5+ years of progressive finance and accounting experienceExperience in a small-to-mid-sized business environment with a hands-on approachStrong understanding of financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and controlsAbility to independently prepare management accounts and financial analysisExperience supporting senior leadership with commercial and strategic decisionsStrong attention to detail, communication skills, and ability to work cross-functionallyExperience with ERP/accounting systems; Sage preferredCPA, CMA, or similar qualification preferred but not requiredExperience within distribution, manufacturing, or fast-paced growth environments is a plusWhy Is This a Great OpportunityOpportunity to lead the finance function within a growing businessHigh visibility role with direct exposure to senior leadership and business strategyAbility to influence financial processes, controls, and long-term growth initiativesSalary Type : Annual SalarySalary Min : $ 85000Salary Max : $ 105000Currency Type : USD
