Java Streaming Engineer

Overview As a Java Streaming Engineer, you will design and implement scalable, high-speed data solutions for financial market clearing and risk. You’ll collaborate with analysts, architects, and product owners to drive enterprise data transformation in a cloud-ready environment. You will tackle performance, reliability, and security aspects while delivering robust, testable software in an Agile setting. This role offers meaningful impact by enabling a data-driven organization and cross-functional collaboration to scale our data platforms. ResponsibilitiesSupport development of big data applications within an agreed architectural framework and Agile environmentAnalyze requirements, develop, test, and document software qualityAdhere to SDLC standards ensuring performance, security, and user requirements are metConduct application and project risk analysis and propose improvementsAssist Production Support with system functionality and issue fixesCommunicate delays or defects clearly to team members and managementAddress security vulnerability resolutions and follow-upCollaborate with teams to support enterprise data transformation initiatives Key requirements5+ years of experience in high-speed, data-centric solutionsJava experience (5+ years)Experience with high-speed distributed computing frameworks (e.g., Apache Spark, Kafka Streams)Experience with distributed message brokers (Kafka, RabbitMQ, ActiveMQ, Amazon Kinesis)Cloud technologies and migrations; familiarity with AWS foundational servicesExperience delivering technical solutions using public cloud providers (AWS, Google)Unit and integration testing experience (JUnit, Citrus)Experience with various databases (Relational, NoSQL, Object-based, Graph)Git workflowsDevOps tools familiarity (Terraform, Ansible, Jenkins, Kubernetes, Helm, CI/CD)Monitoring tools familiarity (Splunk, Elasticsearch, Prometheus, AppDynamics)Java 8+ with Spring, Spring Boot, Microservices, REST APITwo or more of: web/mobile development, Unix/Linux, event-driven systems, transaction processing, distributed/parallel systems, security software development, public cloud platformsOCP Java SE 8 Programmer CertificationAWS Certified Solutions Architect – Associate Levelteam playerclear and concise communicationproblem solvingJava 8+Spring / Spring Boot / MicroservicesREST API
