Satellite Ground Systems AdministratorGrand Forks, ND

OverviewDark Wolf has an immediate need for a Satellite Ground Systems Administrator with Linux full stack development experience. We are looking for an innovative and motivated individual in Grand Forks, ND to help plan and execute testing, training, maintenance, and operate the BMC3 ground simulation test lab hardware. Candidates must have experience with executing, and testing software developmental programs in support of program management to meet customer milestones.ResponsibilitiesPerforming high-level, day-to-day operational maintenance, support, and upgrades for complex operating systems, workstations and servers.Coordinating, directing and performing complex software installations and upgrades to operating systems and layered software packages.Scheduling installations and upgrades and maintaining them in accordance with established IT policies and procedures.Continually monitoring and tuning multiple systems to achieve optimum performance levels.Ensuring workstation/server data integrity by evaluating, implementing, and managing appropriate software and hardware solutions of varying complexities.Ensuring data/media recoverability by developing and implementing a schedule of system backups and database archive operations.Planing and implementing the modernization of servers.Developing, implementing and promoting standard operating procedures and schedules.Conducting hardware and software audits of workstations and servers to ensure compliance with established standards, policies, and configuration guidelines.Developing and implementing new standards, policies and procedures.Working closely with Network and Systems Analysts to help determine and develop the systems that will be implemented.QualificationsBachelor's and five (5) years or more experience; master's and 2 years related experienceDemonstrated expertise in Windows Systems Administration, encompassing current versions (Server 2019, 2022, Windows 10, 11 Enterprise), Microsoft Server products, and Active DirectoryProficient in Linux environmentsHands-on experience with Single Board Computers and GitLab RunnersApplicants must have experience with the application of DISA Security Technical Implementation Guides (STIGs) to operating systems and network devicesDell PowerEdge under windows Server configuration backgroundRHEL 9 Security ComplianceKnowledge of Cloud-to-On Prem. architectureCompTIA Security+ certificationUS Citizenship and have a TS/SCI security clearanceThis position is hybrid located in Grand Forks, ND.We are proud to be an EEO/AA employer Minorities/Women/Veterans/Disabled and other protected categories.In compliance with federal law, all persons hired will be required to verify identity and eligibility to work in the United States and to complete the required employment eligibility verification form upon hire.We are strictly looking for direct, full-time W2 employees.
