Metalworking Machinery ManufacturingMachine Shops; Turned Product; and Screw, Nut, and Bolt ManufacturingHousehold and Institutional Furniture and Kitchen Cabinet ManufacturingTechnical and Trade SchoolsCommercial and Industrial Machinery and Equipment (except Automotive and Electronic) Repair and MaintenanceCNC Swiss Lathe Machinist - Greenville, SCKey Responsibilities• Setup & Operation o Perform complete setups of CNC Swiss lathes, including tooling, offsets, program loading, and first-article verification. o Operate CNC Swiss machines to produce precision parts according to blueprints, work orders, and quality standards. o Adjust feeds, speeds, and tooling as necessary to maintain part quality and efficiency. • Quality Assurance o Inspect parts using precision measuring tools (micrometers, calipers, gauges, optical comparators, etc.). o Ensure parts meet dimensional and surface finish requirements. o Maintain accurate inspection records and documentation. • Maintenance & Troubleshooting o Perform routine machine maintenance and keep equipment in good working order. o Diagnose and correct machining issues related to tooling, programs, or machine performance. • Collaboration & Safety o Work with the production manager and programming team to optimize machining processes. o Follow all company safety guidelines, procedures, and ISO/quality standards. o Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area. Qualifications• Experience: o 3+ years operating CNC Swiss lathes (Citizen or similar preferred). o Hands-on experience in full machine setups (tooling, offsets, programs). • Skills: o Strong knowledge of G-code and CNC programming fundamentals. o Ability to read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and GD&T. o Proficient with precision measuring instruments and inspection procedures. o Problem-solving and troubleshooting skills in machining operations.
