Cardiovascular ICU (CVICU) Registered Nurse in Morgantown, WV

Exceptional opportunity for experienced Registered Nurses with specialized cardiovascular intensive care expertise. This contract role demands highly skilled professionals proficient in managing complex cardiac surgery patients, including fresh open-heart admissions from the OR, advanced hemodynamic monitoring, and critical support device management.Location: This position is based in Morgantown, West Virginia, a vibrant city known for its welcoming community, beautiful natural surroundings, and active cultural scene. Morgantown offers a comfortable lifestyle with access to outdoor activities including hiking and river activities, as well as educational and recreational amenities that enhance quality of life.Key Responsibilities:Provide expert care to patients in the Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit with a patient-to-nurse ratio typically 1:2, adapting as acuity requires.Manage fresh open-heart surgery admissions, including pressure monitoring and the use of Swan-Ganz catheters.Monitor and manage Impella devices and Continuous Renal Replacement Therapy (CRRT).Maintain meticulous documentation within Cerner EMR.Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes during complex cardiovascular interventions.Qualifications and Experience:Active RN license with a minimum of 2 years cardiovascular ICU experience.Must have ACT (Activated Clotting Time) experience.Proven experience managing fresh open-heart admissions directly from the OR.Certification in ACLS, BCLS, and NIH.Proficiency in Swan-Ganz catheter management, Impella monitoring, and CRRT.Reliable night shift availability for 3 twelve-hour shifts per week (19:00-07:00).Previous travel nurse experience not required.Contract Details:13-week assignment with potential for extension.Schedule primarily includes nights, inclusive of 3 shifts per week, covering weekdays and weekends.Weekend-only block schedules considered upon request.Scrubs not provided.Submission must include detailed candidate profile, specialty skills checklist, recent RN license verification, manager or charge nurse references, and copies of all required certifications.Take this opportunity to engage in a challenging role enhancing your cardiovascular nursing expertise within a supportive and high-acuity environment.
