Fitness Floor Support Associate
Description:
The Nook Fitness Floor Support Associate serves as the first point of contact on the fitness floor. They create a welcoming, safe, and clean environment for all members. The associate will balance customer service responsibilities with continuous cleaning and upkeep of the fitness center. This position will be scheduled for shifts anytime between the hours of 6am-10pm.
The starting pay rate for this position is $15.00/hour.

Essential Job Functions
Greet members warmly on the fitness floor
Offer assistance, directions, or basic equipment guidance
Provide new members with equipment orientations, or “Strategy Sessions”
Answer general questions or direct members to appropriate staff (trainers, front desk, management)
Monitor member behavior to ensure adherence to club rules
Conduct hourly floor walk-throughs
Observe equipment use and report safety concerns
Wipe down equipment regularly (machines, benches, mats)
Sanitize high-touch areas (handles, rails, lockers, doors)
Empty trash and replace liners as needed
Spot-clean floors, mirrors, and glass
Clean restrooms and locker rooms per schedule
Follow all sanitation and chemical safety procedures
Requirements:
Basic Qualifications
Must be 18 years of age or older
Ability to read, speak, and understand the English language
Must have dependable transportation to and from work
Preferred Qualifications
A positive and friendly attitude towards guest, customers, and fellow employees
Ability to multitask and stay active
A basic knowledge of gym equipment
Attention to detail and cleanliness
Reliable, punctual, and self-motivated
Working Conditions
Work environment: Upbeat, high-energy sports and event complex with heavy foot traffic and frequent large crowds.
Physical requirements necessary include walking, standing, bending, and lifting
Must be able to lift a minimum of 50 pounds
Noise Level: The noise level in this environment is typically moderate to loud.
