Machinist - CNC Setup (13031)

Adecco is recruiting for a CNC Setup Machinist (Milling) for a client in Auburn, NY. This position is temp-to-hire, paying up to$30/hour DOE, and offers the opportunity to join a small, growing manufacturing team where your work has a direct impact on production.This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working hands-on with machines, solving problems, and being part of a team where versatility and reliability are valued.Job ResponsibilitiesSet up CNC milling machines (vertical and horizontal) based on work orders and specificationsInstall and adjust tooling, fixtures, and workholding devicesLoad and verify programs and perform test runs as neededInspect first-piece parts using measuring tools to ensure quality standardsMake adjustments to maintain tolerances and consistent productionSupport overall shop operations, including troubleshooting, production support, and assisting operators as neededOperate machinery and assist with day-to-day production when setups are not actively being performedMaintain a clean, safe, and organized work environmentQualificationsHigh school diploma or GEDPrevious machine shop or manufacturing experience requiredExperience with CNC milling machines (setups or operation) strongly preferredAbility to read blueprints and use measuring tools (calipers, micrometers, etc.)Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving abilityAbility to work in a hands-on, team-oriented shop environment and take on a variety of responsibilitiesAbility to stand for the duration of the shiftReliable, consistent attendance is requiredWhy This RoleOpportunity to grow into a higher-level or leadership role within a small, expanding companyHands-on position with a mix of setup, troubleshooting, and production supportStable first-shift schedulePay Details: $22.00 to $30.00 per hour Benefit offerings available for our associates include medical, dental, vision, life insurance, short-term disability, additional voluntary benefits, EAP program, commuter benefits and a 401K plan.
