Clinical Director
Bonnie Brae, a nationally accredited Residential Treatment Center and Special Education School serving youth ages 12–21, is seeking a visionary, mission-driven Clinical Director to lead our Clinical Department with integrity, accountability, and innovation. Bonnie Brae operates a 124-bed residential treatment program on a beautiful campus in Central New Jersey, along with several community-based homes. Our programs serve youth with complex behavioral health and emotional needs, providing trauma-informed, evidence-based care within a structured and supportive environment. The Clinical Director serves as a key member of the agency’s senior leadership team and is responsible for the strategic and operational oversight of all clinical services. This role is ideal for an experienced clinical leader with strong supervisory expertise, residential treatment experience, and a deep commitment to high-quality, youth-centered care.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide clinical and administrative supervision to all clinical staff.
Ensure the delivery of individualized, evidence-based treatment through a trauma-informed, multidisciplinary model.
Oversee the Admissions Department, including referral review, assessments, and coordination of placements.
Coordinate treatment planning, documentation, and assure compliance with State Contracts, and Joint Commission standards.
Oversee admissions and discharges, maintaining census at or above budgeted levels.
Serve as the clinical lead in family engagement, medication coordination, and staff training initiatives.
Serve as expert, consultant and lead on communications with families and various system partners on the most complex cases.
Review clinical data and outcome metrics to drive continuous improvement and program effectiveness.
Develop and enhance clinical programming aligned with resident needs and emerging best practices.
Foster professional development for staff and interns, including supervision for licensure.
Partner with departments across the agency to ensure integrated care and a culture of collaboration.
Qualifications:
Master’s degree in social work and an active LCSW in the State of New Jersey.
Certified Clinical Supervisor (CCS) required.
Minimum 6 years of post-master’s experience, including administrative/clinical supervision in a behavioral health and/or residential setting.
Proven ability to lead clinical teams through change while upholding ethical and regulatory standards.
Experience with evidence-based treatment modalities and clinical documentation compliance.
Strong organizational, communication, and decision-making skills.
Valid Driver’s license.
