Python and Java Developer - AWS
Overview:
In this role, you will design, develop, and support full-stack applications using Java, Python, and modern web technologies. You will build REST APIs, microservices, and responsive front-ends, while integrating relational and NoSQL databases. You'll work in cloud and hybrid environments to deliver secure, scalable applications and collaborate on architecture, design reviews, and CI/CD initiatives. Your work will involve optimizing performance, diagnosing production issues, and guiding junior developers. This is a hands-on, cross-functional position with a strong emphasis on cloud-native delivery and DevOps practices.
Responsibilities:
- Design, build, test, and support full-stack applications using Java, Python, and modern web technologies
- Develop REST APIs, microservices, backend services, and responsive web applications
- Build front-end solutions using JavaScript/TypeScript and frameworks such as React, Angular, or VueDevelop and optimize solutions using relational and NoSQL databases
- Design secure, scalable, highly available applications in cloud and hybrid environments
- Participate in architecture discussions, technical design sessions, and code reviews
- Create automated unit, integration, and performance tests to improve application quality
- Partner with DevOps teams on CI/CD automation, containerization, and cloud deployments
- Diagnose production issues and provide ongoing technical support
- Maintain technical documentation and provide guidance to junior developers
Key requirements:
- Strong development experience with Java, including Spring Boot/Spring Framework, and Python frameworks such as FastAPI, Flask, or Django
- Experience with JavaScript, TypeScript, HTML, CSS, React, Angular, or similar front-end technologies
- Strong knowledge of REST APIs, microservices, and event-driven architecture
- Experience with SQL, data modeling, query optimization, and relational or NoSQL databases
- Hands-on AWS experience with services such as EC2, S3, RDS/Aurora, Lambda, API Gateway, ECS/EKS, CloudWatch, IAM, and VPCExperience with Kubernetes/OpenShift, Docker, Git, Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or comparable DevOps technologies
- Experience developing and supporting cloud-native or hybrid-cloud applications
- Knowledge of application security, authentication, authorization, and access management practices
- Familiarity with Infrastructure as Code tools such as Terraform, Cloud
- Formation, or AWS CDKJavaSpring Boot/Spring Framework
