U.S. Citizenship required due to the work location.Job DescriptionAs part of the Engineering and Technology Raptor Avionics Organization at Lockheed Martin Space, this Associate Manager role leads a team responsible for the development of electronic hardware and test systems that enable spacecraft subsystem integration, verification, and mission success.Location: This position does not support teleworking;the selected candidate will be located near our Lockheed Martin Space facility in: Littleton CO and be expected to work a flexible 9x80 schedule in the office full-time.What does this role look like? The team supports the design and delivery of electronic circuits, Special Test Equipment (STE), and hardware used in spacecraft and ground test environments. As a Circuit Design Engineering Associate Manager, you will provide both technical and people leadership across multiple efforts, ensuring alignment to program cost, schedule, and technical objectives while fostering a collaborative, high-performing engineering team. This role requires close coordination across systems, software, mechanical, manufacturing, and test organizations to ensure successful hardware execution.Key Activities You Will Accomplish In This Role Lead a team responsible for the design, development, integration, and sustainment of electronic circuits and test equipment supporting spacecraft and measurement systems. Oversee execution across multiple efforts, ensuring delivery of high-quality hardware on schedule and in alignment with program requirements. Provide technical guidance in circuit design, including schematic development, analysis, layout coordination, integration, and troubleshooting, while enabling your team to resolve complex technical challenges and make sound engineering decisions. Responsible for staffing, work assignment, and performance management, while mentoring engineers and supporting their technical and career development. Collaborate across functional teams, communicate status and risks to leadership, and support successful hardware integration and test execution.Responsibilities Lead, mentor, and develop a team of circuit design engineers, including staffing, onboarding, performance management, and career development. Assign and prioritize work to align with program objectives Agile sprint planning, and team capacity. Provide technical leadership for the design and development of analog, digital, and mixed-signal circuits and test equipment, including schematics, PCB/CCA design, and documentation. Guide resolution of complex technical issues through design reviews, troubleshooting, and analysis. Ensure effective coordination across cross-functional teams throughout the hardware development lifecycle. Lead execution to achieve cost, schedule, and technical performance objectives across assigned efforts. Communicate program status, technical risks, and issues to program, functional, and senior leadership, including customer-facing communication when required. Support proposal efforts, resource planning, and cost estimation activities. Experience working in Agile or Scrum development environments. Experience coordinating across multidisciplinary teams during product development. Experience with test environments such as vibration, shock, or thermal-vacuum (TVAC) testing. Strong understanding of electrical test and measurement equipment and hardware validation processes. Experience with PCB/PWB design, CCA manufacturing, and hardware integration. Background supporting Special Test Equipment (STE) development and test environments. Experience working in aerospace or high-reliability systems (space, missile, defense). Strong communication skills with ability to engage technical, program, and customer stakeholders. Demonstrated ability to manage priorities, risks, and trade-offs across multiple efforts. Experience contributing to technical proposals, planning, or estimation activities. Experience hardware-software integration environments.
