Job ID: 2411032 Location: CAVALIER, ND, US Date Posted: 2024-08-26 Category: Engineering and Sciences Subcategory: Systems Engineer Schedule: Part-Time On Call Shift: Day Job Travel: No Minimum Clearance Required: None Clearance Level Must Be Able to Obtain: Secret Potential for Remote Work: No Description SAIC seeks a highly experienced and energetic Chief Systems Engineer to support the US Space Force, Space Systems Command, in performing operational maintenance and sustainment of Perimeter Acquisition Radar Attack Characterization System (PARCS) critical to US and Allied strategic missile surveillance, warning, defense, and space surveillance missions. This is a part time/as needed position and is located on-site at Cavalier SFS, ND. Occasional travel may be required. Job Duties: Ensures the logical and systematic conversion of product requirements into total systems solutions that acknowledge technical, schedule, and cost constraints. Performs functional analysis, timeline analysis, detail trade studies, requirements allocation and interface definition studies to translate customer requirements into hardware and software or engineering specifications. Provides specific, detailed information for selection, implementation techniques, and tools for the most efficient solution to meet business needs, including present and future capacity requirements. Qualifications Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret Clearance. Proficient in Technical Load Module languages (SNX360, and Centran). Ability to extract and manually compile binary software code and translate into C and C++ languages. Developing and/or sustaining national security, no-fail mission systems. Experience with implementing and sustaining distributed systems, virtual operating system environments, and virtual/augmented reality technologies. Desired: Experience in systems engineering, Model-based Systems Engineering and related areas, to include managing teams/projects delivering solutions for missile warning or other national security space mission systems. Knowledge of the Integrated Tactical Warning and Attack Assessment mission and associated enterprise. Experience maintaining national security mission networks.
