AI Software Engineer (Remote)About the OpportunityA fast-growing AI technology platform is seeking skilled Software Engineers to help train and improve next-generation autonomous AI systems. This role focuses on developing and evaluating complex multi-step AI agent workflows that operate in realistic production-style environments.You’ll work on projects involving orchestration, automation, backend systems, and AI-assisted workflows that help large language models function more effectively as proactive, reasoning-based agents.This is a fully remote opportunity ideal for engineers interested in AI infrastructure, automation systems, distributed workflows, and advanced agentic architectures.What You’ll Be DoingBuild and evaluate complex AI-driven software workflowsDesign modular backend systems with clear service separation and scalable architectureCreate and review programming-related tasks used to improve AI model performanceAnalyze, troubleshoot, and refine AI-generated code and system behaviorsProvide detailed technical feedback on multi-step agent interactions and reasoning flowsWork with real-world APIs, tools, and live environments rather than mocked systemsSupport development of persistent and stateful AI workflowsRequired Skills & Experience2+ years of experience in:Backend engineeringAI automationSystems integrationSoftware engineeringStrong programming ability in at least two of the following:PythonJavaScriptGoJavaExperience working with SQL databasesUnderstanding of modular software architecture and scalable system designExperience building or supporting production-grade applicationsAbility to analyze complex technical behaviors and provide high-quality engineering feedbackStrong problem-solving skills and attention to detailPreferred ExperienceBuilding multi-stage orchestration or coordination systemsWorking with AI agents or autonomous workflowsIntegrating tools such as:SupabaseGmail APIsExternal APIs and automation platformsExperience with persistent memory or session management systemsFamiliarity with AI safety concepts including:Prompt injection risksPermission escalationPrivacy/security vulnerabilitiesExposure to LLM tooling, AI infrastructure, or agentic AI systems
