PT Operations TechnicianMilwaukee WI, United StatesWISN-TV, the ABC affiliate in Milwaukee, WI has an opening for a part-time broadcast Operations Technician. The Operations Technician maintains the technical integrity of the stations on-air signals and its equipment from acquisition to distribution. You will support all station efforts in-house and on remote location. You will report to the Chief Engineer.Job Responsibilities: Operate robotic cameras and studio floor directingMove and handle of props and sets during in-house and on-location productions (this could mean helping move heavy equipment)Maintain appearance of studios including cleaning of set and floorsMaintain and understand lighting grid and control board with knowledge to maintain proper programming;climbing ladders to change light bulbs and adjust fixturesDress microphones and IFBs for all on camera appearancesBasic multi-media computer skill and familiarity with current Internet technology including downloading of materials for promos and commercial client spotsHelp with promotional effort at station-sponsored community events as assignedWork in control room in technical positions (including camera control, audio and TD)Non-linear editing for TV News-Creative Services ProductionsOther responsibilities as assigned by the TV Operations ManagerExperience Requirements: 2+ years of experience working as an operations technician at a commercial television station with experience operating different broadcast equipmentMust have a solid background in operation of broadcast television systems and equipmentRelated military experience will be consideredIn-person attendance is requiredQualification Requirements: Computer literacy is mandatory.Must have a solid background in operation of broadcast television systems and equipment.Education: Related experience and/or training considered as well as a combination of education and experience.Military training and experience will be considered.Values in ActionAt Hearst Television we tell stories every day.
