Information Systems Manager

This position requires a technical, hands-on leader to manage a small team of IS professionals in the design, implementation, and maintenance of VersaLogic’s technology infrastructure. The IS Manager acts as both a strategic lead and a technical contributor, driving IS projects, optimizing network systems and cloud services, and ensuring the integrity of disaster recovery and cyber-security protocols. The ideal candidate will bridge the gap between high-level project management and direct technical execution to elevate team performance and infrastructure reliability.
Job Duties:
· Lead and mentor the Information Systems team, providing both supervisory direction and technical guidance during day‐to‐day operations.
· Manage and optimize core technologies by providing high-level oversight and hands-on escalation support.
· Research, propose, and execute infrastructure projects, serving as a technical lead to drive projects from conception to completion.
· Develop and implement policies and procedures, ensuring they are technically sound and compliant with industry standards.
· Collaborate as a peer and leader, contributing technical effort alongside the team while maintaining responsibility for departmental outcomes.
· Perform other duties as assigned.
Management Responsibilities:
Directly manages employees in the Information Systems Department. Carries out management responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, training employees; planning, assigning, directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.

Education & Experience Required:
· Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Science or equivalent business‐related field
· 8+ years of experience planning, managing, and successfully implementing IT projects of various scope and technical complexity in a small to mid‐sized company
· 3+ years of experience managing IS/IT teams
· Experience with ERP systems in a manufacturing environment
· Implementing corporate systems with the following technologies: Microsoft Windows Server & Desktop, VMware / ESXi, SQL Server, Microsoft Exchange Server, Microsoft 365 and Linux computing platforms
Preferred:
· Master’s Degree in Computer Science
· ITIL certification
· PMP certification
· Familiarity with NIST 800‐171 and CMMC cybersecurity framework
· Working with ITIL Framework and methodologies
