City/StateNewport News, VAWork ShiftFirst (Days)Overview:Sentara Medical Legal Partnership Clinic Legal Intake Coordinator Sentara Health is a non-profit integrated health system headquartered in Hampton Roads, Virginia. The newly formed Sentara Medical Legal Partnership (“MLP”) Clinic is seeking a part-time Legal Intake Coordinator.The Legal Intake Coordinator at Sentara’s MLP Clinic will be responsible for client intake, case management, and providing legal and administrative support for the MLP Clinic.Acting under the direction and guidance of the supervising MLP Attorney, the Legal Intake Coordinator will be primarily responsible for coordinating the client referral intake and screening process, conducting conflict checks, data collection and outcome measurement.The successful candidate will be responsible for creating monthly reports from the Social Determinants of Health (SDOH) Intervention and Tableau dashboards, as well as Epic-native flowsheets.The Legal Intake Coordinator will also assist the MLP Attorney with client communications, legal research, file and legal document preparation, and the development of educational materials on legal rights. This position is ideal for a paralegal who is motivated by direct client engagement, interdisciplinary teamwork, and community impact.The Sentara MLP Clinic is a pilot program located at a Sentara facility in Newport News, VA, and the Legal Intake Coordinator will work out of that out of that office.
